Each two-day session was conducted by Commission staff from Development and Technical Services. "Joe Nita Porter of Franklin County Library returned to the library from the Collection Workshop truly inspired. So many books have been ' turned into the headquarters, I don't know where to put them," said Lincoln-Lawrence-Franklin Regional Library Director Henry Ledet. "We were pleased with our efforts — this workshop reached the staff that does the collection development work. Pamela Pridgen, director of The Library of Hattiesburg, Petal and Forrest County presented the marketing aspect of the workshop, which was very well received," said Development Services Director Jane Smith. "This workshop was informative. I learned the importance of knowing the community's needs before creating and establishing documents Library Commission. such as the collection development policy and plan," said Document Specialist LaTavius Jackson.
